Dr. Hauwa Balami is a Medical Practitioner, and the Co-founder of Give Girls A Chance, a non-profit that supports girls and young women to access and maximize the benefits of quality education through scholarships, capacity building, and advocacy. Dr. Hauwa is an advocate for girl child education, gender equality, and female empowerment. She actively works to create opportunities for girls and women in all areas of their life (health, education, and leadership). Her vision is to foster a nation where all girls are given equal opportunities to access quality education and career growth. Dr, Hauwa completed medical school at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and works as a Physician in Abuja, Nigeria. She enjoys all aspects of medicine and wellness; holds a master’s in Biomedical Research (Morehouse School of Medicine USA) with a keen interest in public health and health policy. Dr. Hauwa was born in Maiduguri Borno State on the 17th March 1987 , raised in the South/South, and schooled in the North and Southwest of the country. "So, What You G'on Do?" Radio Show Event- Politics

Join Dr. Onyewuchi to discuss politics in government, the city, alumni organizations, academia and the corporate world, with industry experts. We will discuss the good, the bad and the ugly of politics and what to do about it. It is part of our culture to discuss politics over food and drinks. Often times, we leave it at that. Dr. Onyewuchi has about two decades of experience in execution of plans for Africa, the US, Asia and Europe. She is strong in international community development, having raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through partnerships for electrification of Africa and having saved industrial plants several million dollars in power quality and energy efficiency problems. Her guests on this show/ event are Hob. Bukola Olopade, CEO of Nilayo Sports Management, which runs Lagos and other state marathons. He became one of the youngest commissioners in Nigerian history by serving as the Ogun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports at the age of 33. Ms. Lilly Anyanwu is a special services specialist for the Head Start Program of Dallas. She ran for office at the Addison City Council level and has loads of knowledge to share on local politics.
